Why am I starting this column with Shrine Bowl?  Its 6 months away.  The game is in June but the planning for it has been going on since last June.  The Wyoming Shrine Bowl donated $35,000 to the Shriners Hospital from the game in 2011.  This year we would like to do even better.  A bulk of the money comes from Ad Sales and Corporate Sponsorships.  We have a small dedicated group of Nobles that have sold ads in the Kalif territory, but we need your help.  Kalif Temple has over 800 Nobles.  If each Noble committed to selling or buying one $25 ad (ads run from $25 to $100) in addition to the ads we sold last year, our Temple would increase the funds available for the hospital by $20,000.  I challenge all Nobles to find one new business to advertise or consider placing a personal ad supporting your local players.  Ad forms are available in the Recorder's office or through Warren Pearson, the Kalif Ad Sales Coordinator.

Speaking of Hospital FUNd raisers, there is no fund raiser as fun as the Jackson Hole Shrine Club Cutter Horse Races.  Anyone who has not been to the Races should consider making a weekend of it.  The races are February 18^th and 19^th.

January 20^th we will be having a public fezzing of the new Divan immediately after the stated meeting.  In addition to the fezzing by the Ceremonial Divan, the Horse Patrol will present the Black Camel and the Daughters of the Nile will do something special. 

January 27^th the Divan will be visiting Powder River Shrine Club and on the 28^th we will be visiting Inyan Kara Shrine Club.
